Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko, the Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai competitor from Peru and a mixed martial arts artist that is competing with the UFC in the Flyweight Division is currently fighting. Shevchenko's older sister is of former UFC Flyweight champ and the other UFC fighter Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko started her professional career as an Muay Thai boxer. She made her debut in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner of the event and beat Suzane Mill in the finals with a unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko won a second silver medal in 2007, a bronze in 2008, winning gold in 2011 she was named the 2017 IFMA World Amateur Muay Thak Champion. Antonia's professional career started in 2003. In 2012, she took home the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship In 2016, she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, she was the winner of the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina fought Isa Tidblad Keskikangas for her last fight at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was able to win by a unanimous vote. Antonina shevchenko recorded her first professional MMA fight in 2002 against Anara bayanova, who was fighting at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan. She was able to win the second round TKO fight. She also won the following two bouts during the WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. The result was a 3-0 record. Shevchenko took a short break from MMA in order to focus on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 when she fought Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko won against Anissa with a unanimous vote, before she fought Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She quit the promotion and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko faced Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina made use of her formidable punching skills and striking skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch with knees and body. The result was that Antonina was offered an UFC contract. Antonina received her a UFC contract following her win. Shevchenko suffered defeat to Roxanne Modafferi via split decision in her first fight. Antonina recovered from this loss through defeating Lucie Pudilova during UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler with a back-naked choke. She was awarded the prize of fight-of-the-night. Shevchenko had a 2-1-2 record during her subsequent three bouts, defeating Ariane Lipski, and then losing to Katlyn Chookagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina lost her last fight to Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
